• Moveyourbloominass: I cant believe he even played in this World Cup. Its been 7 years since my Pops died and I still have horrible days. Argentina has been lucky since 2005, to have him play for them.

More Than 10,000 Cases of Tofu Recalled in New York and 28 Other States (r/news)

• espoirhope: SERIOUSLY. Can we eat anything?!
• ProductIntegortion: That sucks but that’s a pretty small amount of one specific line of tofu that is potentially contaminated by ink. Recalls like this happen all the time.
• ratchetcoutoure: To be specific, only one tofu brand is recalled (Hodo Chili Crisp Fried Tofu)

What’s a skill almost everyone thinks they’re good at until they meet someone who’s actually great at it? (r/AskReddit)

• heretoseewhats: For a lot of dudes: fighting
• 1tacoshort: Acting. It looks all natural and straight forward. I’ve done some self-tapes and done some acting and discovered that it’s really hard to appear natural.
• Stinky-Camel: Teaching. You don’t only need to be well versed in the subject matter. You have to be able to effectively explain that information based on the specific audience in front of you

People who own multiple pets, what is the current drama going on between them? (r/AskReddit)

• MudiMom: My cat is slowly walking towards me right now so the dogs don’t notice and start herding her before she can get me to sit on me.

Luigi Mangione’s state murder trial postponed indefinitely amid double jeopardy fight (r/news)

• XfinityHomeWifi: This guy will spend years locked up before he’s actually sentenced for anything. Going to an actual penitentiary by that point will feel like a hotel
• CMG30: He’s got a smart attorney. She’s working all the angles here.
• CleverInternetName8c: I was wondering why he would plead guilty given there didn’t seem to be much of a concession in exchange but it being as part of a strategy to make a double jeopardy argument makes total sense.

What job do people over-romanticize? (r/AskReddit)

• RareConclusion38: Opening a cozy cafe or bookstore. People picture themselves calmly sipping espresso while chatting with friendly regulars, but in reality, it’s 80-hour workweeks, brutal profit margins, inventory management, and endlessly cleaning espresso machines or dusting shelves.
• GlenGraif: Reading the comments, all jobs suck 😂
• TwoThinPete: Working for yourself. Everyone pictures the freedom, setting your own hours, being your own boss. The reality is you never actually clock out, there’s no one to hand a problem to, and the discipline it takes to sit down and grind when literally nobody is making you is brutal. People romanticize the freedom and completely underestimate the part where the whole thing lives or dies on you showing up every single day.

• TailRudder: Stop calling it a prediction market. It’s literally gambling at best, rigged gaming at worst.
• Nayko214: Good. Because they are gambling. Plain and simple.
• techman710: If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it’s gambling, obviously.

Diners of Reddit, What’s the juiciest thing you overheard from another table? (r/AskReddit)

• gogogadgetdumbass: Teenagers, on a first or second date. The guy was asking some family background type questions and asked the girl “did you tell your parents we were going out? Do they care if you date?” And she said without any kind of pause or anything “my little sister is actually my niece, my sister was 14 when she was born. Now that I’m almost 18, and haven’t had a baby, they don’t really bother me…”
• Nincomsoup: Not exactly at the next table, but coming back from the bathroom I heard one waiter telling another one that they’d taken a dish into the private dining room and the lady guest wasn’t in her seat - then they realised she was underneath the table having an…err…appetiser?? The waiter was begging to swap sections 🫣
• BionicHuckleberry: I went to a McDonald’s and was eating my meal. At the table next to me was three business hanging out. I’m guessing they were sales because they were talking about a gas card. Apparently this dude was spending thousands of dollars on gas a month and his travels didn’t add up. The boss was beyond frustrated because this was like the third time he had talked to him about it. He was saying things like we can tell that you’re lying because you’re going to the same gas station six times in a row, what are you doing? They fired him right there and the dude broke down saying he needs to feed his family or something. He admitted to gathering his friends and cousins and neighbors to fill up all their gas tanks and thought they wouldn’t notice. Just got to suck to get fired at McDonald’s just saying
